Spring Break Transitions

From AM to PM.

Much like the song, you’re going all day and all night when you’re on Spring Break. Essentially, this means you’ve got a lot less time to re-create your look throughout the day than you normally would before heading out for the evening. So, in honor of you and your break shenanigans, we’ve got a quick guide for an easy transition from day to night (categorized like we’re building a beautiful cake, because maybe we’re a little hungry).

To get the perfect look all day, you’ll have to start with the perfect coverage.

Base-Cake

1

Step 1: H2O Plus Face Oasis Hydration Lotion, because dried-out complexions are a common cause of patchy and uneven makeup. The SPF-30 is an added bonus to protect your skin from environmental factors. (was $35, now $29.95)

Step 2: H2O Plus Face Oasis CC Cream Broad Spectrum, because it’s a fantastic one-stop product for hot weather. It’s light enough to feel like you’re not wearing a mask in beach humidity, while still offering decent coverage and maybe even reducing lines under your tired, tired eyes. (was $35, now $29.95)

Step 3: Lancome Definicils Waterproof High Definition Mascara, for the beach babe who still wants bright, big eyes. Not only does this amazing mascara work against water, it also resists smudging and smearing that might happen because of oil (hello sweat!). (was $27.50, now $26.95)

Step 4: Christian Dior Diorblush in ‘My Rose,’ because we love a light blush. You can easily brush over it with a darker shade for a more adventurous night-out look. (was $43, now $41.95)

Step 5: Sisley Phyto Lip Gloss in Beige Rose, for a more natural day-time look. Again, it’s easy to switch over to a dark lipstick for an evening look. (was $57, now $42.95)

Step 6: W7 10 out of 10 Browns Eyeshadow Palette, so you only have to bring one palette to finish both looks. Go for your lighter shades during the day and you can easily transition to your darker shades as the lights go out. (was $30, now $18.95)

Transitioning to Night:

3

Phase 1: Your CC cream should provide great coverage throughout the day, but if not you can apply a light foundation to clean up your look a little bit. We recommend Lancome’s Nude Miracle Weightless Foundation for its ultra-lightness and matte finish. (was $42.50, now $39.95)

Phase 2: Brush over your blush with a darker color. If you want to stay in the same Dior family, we commend trying their Happy Cherry color. (was $43, now $41.95)

Phase 3: Replace that gloss with some lipstick, because nothing says Spring Break like a bold lip. We love Sisley’s Geisha Red Hydrating Long-Lasting Lipstick  to really make a statement. (was $57, now $45.95)

Phase 4: Swap out your lighter eye palette shades for something a little more fun, dark and mysterious. And because you’ve got an amazing palette, you only have to bring one! So no extra cases and things to handle.

*Extra-Extra Sprinkles:

Pop in a little Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo to make the easy hair transition. Not only will it absorb all that oil and sweat from your beach day, but it will leave your hair smelling amazingly clean – which is just an added bonus. (was $12, now $11.95)

And just like that – you’re ready to go. Happy Spring Breaking!
