NYFW Trends You’ll Want to Try

While the runway can sometimes be a little too outrageous to replicate IRL, we’re seeing quite a few beauty trends that when done right can add just the right amount of pop.

The underlying theme to spot is that the 80’s are back, and so is their quintessential “more is more” attitude. Check out a few of our favorites below.

Smokey Eye:

CD14814-008-2TTime to let your sultry side shine and get that little bit of mystery you’ve always wanted. Heavily used by the models of Tom Ford and Carolina Herrara, steal the look with Christian Dior’s All-In-One Professional Eye Palette “Smoky Design.” It even includes a touch of metallic shading, another trend we’re seeing come into its own this season.

Gold Glitter:

SS86512-2TSpeaking of metallics, it’s not just silver that’s getting some play. Black liquid eyeliner has been replaced with gold glitter, as sported on the runway by Ulla Johnson models. Get the gold touch with Sisley Phyto-Ombre Glow Metallic Eye Shadow With Botanical Extracts Pearl for a silky, ultra-fine texture that glides onto the eyelid and blends easily.

Blue Liner:

CD80305-254-2TBut that’s not all! If you’re not trying to make gold your new go-to shade, the runway saw plenty of Crayola-colored eyeliner looks that varied from model to model, but were mostly dominated by blue. Take a cue from Adam Selman, Tibi, and Veronica Beard and create your cat-eye hue with Christian Dior Long Wear Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil 254 Captivating Blue.

Color Blocking:

NYX01765-2TTake the blue lines and add a bright contrast like fuchsia or pink to create a color-blocking eye look, like the ones seen on Christian Siriano’s models. Create combos to your hearts desire with NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette Brights, complete with 16 high-performance eyeshadows in a rainbow of tone-inspired shades.
